Brian Johnston

Brian Johnston is a Fellow of the Australian College of Health Service Executives, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. He holds an appointment as Visiting Fellow, Centre for Clinical Governance Research in Health, Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales, and is a member of the Management Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons' Australian Safety and Efficacy Register of New Interventional Procedures - Surgical (ASERNIP-S).

He is the current Chair of the Council for the International Accreditation Program provided by the International Society for Quality in Health Care.

Mr. Johnston's professional career has been wholly in the health industry and has included experience at both departmental and senior health service management levels. Until taking up his current position he was involved mainly in the operational management of public health services and facilities, particularly teaching and referral centres.
